OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Job Description

Network Recruitment are currently working with a key client in the County Derry area who have asked us to assist them in the recruitment of an individual for a temporary/contract position for a set period of 1 month starting approximately on 10-12thth April 2010.

The official working title of this role is yet to be defined but it is likely to be Operations Supervisor or similar.

We are specifically seeking CV’s of individuals who can say yes to the following questions.

  1. Are you available for a short term contract/temporary role commencing approximately 10-12th April for a period of 4-5 weeks?
  2. Do you process strong administration skills?
  3. Do you have a high level of PC literacy, to include a strong working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite?
  4. Have you previous experience in supervising numerous staff/teams?
  5. Are you willing to work between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday and Friday and also (crucially) evenings and weekends when required?
  6. Would you be available to work away from home for between 3-7 working days towards the end of this assignment? (Please note travel costs and accommodation costs would be covered by the client)

Individuals from a core IT background with supervisory experience would be highly sought after.

Facilities Administrator – Mid Ulster

Network Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of Northern Irelands very successful and well known construction companies who due to continuous growth and development require an experienced administrator to join their facilities management division. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take hold of the role and truly make it their own as they will be given complete autonomy to manage their time and tasks in making sure work is carried out in a timely and cost effective manner. 

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Receive instruction and liaise with relevant surveyors to carry out job inspections
  • Collate and co ordinate reports within strict timeline
  • Monitor logged calls and time taken to complete tasks
  • Liaising with various contractors to co-ordinate jobs
  • Solving problems and managing complaints
  • Processing invoices
  • Provide information current jobs as and when requested.
  • General admin associated with role

  • Have a min of 2yrs admin experience in the facilities management or construction sector
  • Be highly competent in MS office, in particular MS Excel
  • Have an excellent telephone manner and high level of customer service.
  • Be able to work to deadlines in a pressurised environment
  • Have good problem solving skills and able to use own initiative
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

 

Hours of work
Mon – Thurs 8.30am – 6pm
Fri 8.30am – 5pm

Steps to Work Support Worker

Job Description

Network Personnel currently require a full time ‘Steps to Work’ support worker who will be based in Cookstown who will be responsible for the day to day running of the ‘Steps to Work’ programme.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Ensure standards and procedures are maintained in line with Jobcentre and DEL guidelines.
  • To liaise effectively with the Department of Employment and Learning and other outside bodies as required.
  • To carry out one to one interviews with STW clients, conduct initial assessment and formulate appropriate Learning and Development plans.
  • Source suitable work placements.
  • Arrange/deliver training as identified in the initial assessment.
  • Monitor participant’s attendance and performance as required by guidelines.
  • Oversee all general administration procedures.
  • To maintain customer satisfaction at the optimum level by ensuring that training is delivered to the highest standard and that work placements are appropriate and conducive to the learning process.
  • To meet regularly with placement provider in order to ensure that individual trainees are progressing satisfactorily.
  • To control the use of financial resources and review performance in terms of financial targets set by the management committee.
  • To demonstrate good personnel management practice.
  • To avail of any training required to meet the needs of the Company.
  • To liaise with other staff and management and to provide a high standard of service.
  • To attend monthly staff meetings.
  • To produce reports on the STW programme as required including the annual self-evaluation report and monthly board reports.

Essential Criteria:

The successful applicant must have:

  • Good standard of general education including G.C.S.E. English & Maths grade C or higher
  • Strong empathy with target population
  • Minimum of one years relevant employment experience
  • Experience of record keeping / administration
  • Full, clean driving licence and access to a car

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience of delivering programmes aimed at the unemployed.
  • Experience of Microsoft office packages.
  • 9295/ 9297 level 2 Certificate in Adult Learner Support Literacy and Numeracy or a higher essential skills related qualification.
  • NVQ assessors award D32/D33 or ‘A’ assessor award

The ideal candidate will be responsible for administrative tasks, working at the front counter, dealing with customer queries, covering telephones, accepting payments, uploading pictures onto the website.  Data entry.

The ideal candidate must have previous computer literate, be confident in nature as they will be dealing with members of the public on a daily basis.  Have excellent computer skills as they will be responsible for designing flyers and advertisements and have an excellent telephone manner.  5 GCSEs including Maths and English is essential.  A keen interest in cars or vans is desirable.
