We wish to receive applications from suitably experienced candidates for the role of 2nd Chef, this position is integral to the ongoing growth and development of the hotel and this exciting role offers a unique career development opportunity for a highly skilled and creative Head Chef to further develop and hone their skills with an industry recognised leader.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4+ years experience in a similar role, coupled with a proven track record in successfully overseeing a kitchen to offer the finest quality food. This role will involve assuming responsibility in the Head Chef’s absence for all food served in the Restaurant, Bar, In Room Dining and for all functions such as Weddings and corporate functions. As a highly motivated and results orientated Chef, you will possess strong managerial and time management skills, in addition to a genuine passion for producing first class food.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Menu planning/cycles
- Food hygiene – maintaining high standards
- Budget control
- Health & Safety Management
- Deputising in the absence of the Head Chef
The Ideal Person:
- 4+ years experience as a Chef (Ideally hotel or fine dining environment)
- Qualification in Catering
- Innovative and creative chef with a passion for fine food
- Strong communicator with an organised and consistent work ethic
