Network Recruitment are working with a leading company in the South Derry area to appoint a Gradute or recently qualified Mechanical Engineering to their expanding team.
The ideal candidate will have a Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering and at least two years experience within a manufacturing environment.
He / she will be responsible for research and development within the company. They will work closely with the production department and the senior engineering department to assess new methods for production and markets to enter into.

Company Profile:
We have been retained by an expanding and highly successful client in the Manchester area to assist them in sourcing and appointing a key member of staff who will become integral in their plans for ongoing development and expansion within their industry of operation. Our client design and manufacture unique and custom designed industrial waste heat recovery systems. The company has experienced organic growth in its business over the past three years and now wishes to appoint a dedicated Sales & Marketing Manager who in conjunction with the General Manager will help accelerate the growth of the company going forward. The company’s products are all applied in the chemical and process industries with a typical sales value in the range £10k-£150k.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for identifying and generating new business whilst developing and expanding existing business to achieve agreed annual targets.
This includes all aspects of the business development process to include:
- Identifying leads
- Initiating contact with potential clients/highlighting & nurturing new and commercially viable relationships
- Proposal development
- Negotiating and contract details
- Ongoing customer liaison
- Working to and achieving financial targets
- Delivering on customer expectation
This will involve;
- Developing and utilising a network of contacts to help build the company’s profile and develop new clients/revenue streams
- Presenting company products and services to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails
- Representing the company at industry events and tradeshows, to gain new business leads and contacts
- Creating and assuming full responsibility for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation
- Thoroughly understanding clients objectives including their Return on Investment (ROI) objectives
- Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
- Ensuring the company remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients
Skills Required:
Essential Criteria
- Degree in business related discipline or engineering
- Proven track record of successfully developing new business in an engineering market
- A proven track record in continually achieving sales targets with experience of high level sales negotiations with end users, contractors or consultants
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Understanding and ability to work to and achieve financial targets
- Ability to travel throughout UK & Ireland and work away from home as required
- Full driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience of working within the industrial energy efficiency market

Salary:

Location:
