Job Description

Network Recruitment are proud to be working with our client, a global leader in the application of innovative technologies, holding market and leadership positions in business including heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Due to recent awards and continued growth they require a Materials Planner/Buyer for their logistics department.

Duties to include but not limited to:
·Management of production materials from our global supply base
using MRP and E-kanban tools
·Vendor appraisal and improvement
·Inventory analysis and control
·Controlling and monitoring of freight forwarding
·Implementing Supplier changes
·Liaising with Engineering, Quality and Production in terms of bills
of materials and engineering changes
·Maintaining and implementing industry best practice in Supply
Chain Management techniques

Skills required:
·Candidates must possess a Degree in Supply Chain
Management, Engineering, Business Studies or other associated
disciplines. Alternatively candidates with a lesser qualification
and 2 years experience may be considered
·Good working knowledge of microsoft office
·Enthusiastic, self motivated individual who can demonstrate
strong analytical and presentation skills
·Self starter working with minimum supervision
·Have passion for innovation and personal development

Design Engineer – Tyrone

Our client has been in operation for over 10 years and in that time they have established themselves as the only indigenous manufacturer of their particular product range in the U.K. and Ireland. From their multi-site business they design and manufacture an extensive range of products. Based at their Co. Tyrone Headquarters, this is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and rapidly expanding company competing in international markets.

As a result of continued growth and demand for their high quality products, they wish to introduce an integrated new product development process. And as a result of this, they require an experienced Design Engineer to create and evaluate design proposals; oversee direction, development and design of the company products through the use of CAD and Solid Works.

Core Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline (experienced HND/HNC candidates will be considered)
  • Experience of full life cycle mechanical product design
  • Strong grasp of materials selection for a wide range of mechanical products
  • Production of high quality manufacturing drawings containing full tolerance and geometrical tolerancing and detailed finishing specifications
  • Understanding of motion control mechanisms and design concepts
  • Experience with 3D and 2D modeling software
  • Experience in the design, manufacturing and sourcing of materials to ensure quality standards are obtained
  • Solidworks CAD experience
  • Prototype assembly, evaluation, characterisation and testing
  • Design of very high precision complex mechanical assemblies
  • Familiarity of motorised motion control stages and actuators
  • Knowledge of wide variety of component manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Familiarity with lean engineering design principals
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing systems

Tyrone area. PHP Developer – Donegal – Industry Recognised Leader

To aid them in an ongoing expansion plan over the course of the next year, they have partnered with us to aid them in sourcing and appointing an experienced PHP Developer to be situated at their state of the art facility in the Donegal region.

The purpose of this role is to clearly oversee the successful design, coding and delivery of specific technical applications and / or products in the company portfolio. Successfully appointed individuals will be expected to participate in sections of single or multiple projects ensuring the solution/s developed meet both the projects’ functional and business requirements. Accountable for the consistency of application component code, a primary element of this role will involve ensuring it meets the requirements of the functional specification/s and ensuring any issues or risks that may affect the project deliverables are raised to the Development or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist as required in scope definition, technical viability scoping and best practice solution design to meet the needs of the product and/or client.
  • Provide estimations on a specific solution to senior team members which have an impact on time, cost and design.
  • Through the review and understanding of functional specifications, write component designs and deliver code according to the requirements.
  • Using the QA bug reports, you will provide time estimations for completion of assigned bugs, conduct unit testing and log code back into the appropriate source repository for testing.
  • Where appropriate, provide input into development of solutions that create innovation and have a beneficial outcome to the product or application.
  • Ensure all risks and issues that effect the project are raised following set processes and are actioned appropriately.
  • Escalate risks and issues that pose a significant impact to deliverables.
  • Ensure any change requests meet the criteria of the change request process
  • Provide accurate time and cost estimates for required changes, where possible
  • Provide alternative solutions to minimize time and cost.

 

Education & Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science or similar
  • Professional programming certification in a mainstream development Object Orientated language such as Java, C++, PHP.

Experience

•        Demonstrable PHP software engineering experience in a web development capacity.

•        Application development experience in PHP4 and/or PHP5.

Knowledge & Skills

•        Strong expertise in PHP4 and/or PHP5 and MySQL 5

•        Application development experience in PHP4 and/or PHP5

•        A mainstream development Object Orientated language such as Java, C++ or similar
