Are you available for some contract temporary/contract work for the next 10-12 weeks?

Network Recruitment are currently working with a Northwest based leading business who have a number of key temporary positions available from late late Jan/early Feb 2012 – May/ 2012.
Job Title: Customer Delivery Co-ordinator
Salary: £17.5k Prorata (possibly negotiable)

Main responsibility of this role will be to prepare, undertake and co-ordinate various projects both internally and externally. The nature of these projects will vary reflecting the wide spectrum of activities in the clients Industry.
You will ideally be educated to at least HND level (in Business, IT or equally relevant subject).
You must be well-versed in project management practices and principles and must understand project management standards and must have knowledge of project management tools like MS-Project.
Skills
A methodical, detail-conscious approach to all tasks
Excellent IT skills, with a willingness to learn
Must be able to manage a high number of tasks simultaneously
Must have organisational and prioritising skills in a deadline driven environment
Must have ability to keep a clear head when under pressure and eye for detail
Must have excellent analytical skills, being able to extract key points from complex information and set objectives
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must have excellent time management skills
Must be able to interpret statistical data and possess excellent report writing skills
Must be familiar with methodologies, tools and concepts in project management
Must be able to use own initiative and work under minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to continuous improvement
A creative and proactive approach to preventing and solving problems
Must understand the need to work additional time to ensure all projects are delivered on time

Purpose

Delivers successful design, coding and delivery of specific technical applications and / or products in the company portfolio.
Participate in sections of single or multiple projects ensuring the solution(s) developed meet both the projects’ functional and business requirements.
Accountable for the consistency of application component code, ensuring it meets the requirements of the functional specification(s) and ensuring any issues or risks that may affect the project deliverables are raised to the Development or Project Manager.

Remuneration

Competitive base + Bonus + Benefits (Guideline €35-€40K)

Key Responsibilities

Assist as required in scope definition, technical viability scoping and best practice solution design to meet the needs of the product and / or client.
Provide estimations on a specific solution to senior team members which have an impact on time, cost and design.
Through the review and understanding of functional specifications, write component designs and deliver code according to the requirements.
Using the QA bug reports, you will provide time estimations for completion of assigned bugs, conduct unit testing and log code back into the appropriate source repository for testing.
Liaise with software vendors regarding bug fixes / issues.
Where appropriate, provide input into development of solutions that create innovation and have a beneficial outcome to the product or application.
Ensure all risks and issues that effect the project are raised following set processes and are actioned appropriately. Escalate risks and issues that pose a significant impact to deliverables.
Ensure any change requests meet the criteria of the change request process.
Provide accurate time and cost estimates for required changes, where possible provide alternative solutions to minimize time and cost.

Education & Qualifications

Essential – University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science or similar.

Preferable – Professional programming certification in a mainstream development Object Orientated language such as Java

Experience

Minimum of 3 years software engineering experience in a development capacity preferably in a mainstream development Object Orientated language such as Java

Knowledge & Skills

Essential Skills:
Java, Spring, SQL/JDBC, JMS/MQ, SVN
Preferable/Desirable skills
High-Availability system experience, High performance Java, threading”

Network Recruitment are currently working closely with a successful IT solutions business in the County Tyrone area to appoint an experienced and qualified Senior Infrastructure Consultant.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Installation and configuration of software on network servers and PCs at customer premises.
  • It is anticipated that much of this work will involve Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft Exchange, Windows, and security solutions, although a variety of other software will also be involved from time to time.
  • Installation of desktop, server, network and communications systems at customer premises.
  • Provision of technical support, by telephone and at customer premises working with computer users to resolve problems and answer questions on a variety of hardware components and software programs.
  • The planning, design and project management of new installations.
  • The planning, specification and evaluation of technical projects.

The ideal candidate must have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience of installing and configuring high level Remote Desktop Solutions
  • Experience of installing and configuring Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 Server
  • Experience of installing and configuring Exchange Server – 2003, 2007, 2010.
  • Experience of installing and supporting wide-area networking equipment or other communications equipment.
  • Experience of computer security systems and knowledge of the products currently available.
  • Knowledge and experience of the principles and methods of computer configuration and operations.
  • Knowledge and experience of designing complex technical solutions
  • A sound knowledge of general networking principles and TCP/IP
  • Knowledge and experience of the principles of data communications standards and implementation
  • A sound working knowledge of PC and Server hardware.
  • Familiarity with desktop operating systems and a variety of application software.
  • Knowledge and experience in formal project management and service delivery best practice procedures.
  • Experience of messaging systems/ fax server.

 

  • Third level qualification preferred, but we would allow exceptional experience and performance to override this.
  • Experience within the information and computer industry.
  • Microsoft qualifications, MCSE or higher
  • Cisco qualifications CCNA or higher would be an advantage though not a necessity.
  • VCP or equivalent
  • Driving Licence, access to a vehicle and insurance that covers business travel.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • A high level of self-motivation together with a willingness to learn new skills.
