Cleaning / Hygiene Supervisor

They are working with us to find a suitably experienced and skilled

Cleaning / Hygiene Supervisor who can join and lead their Cleaning/Hygiene team in a fulltime and permanent capacity.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervision of the existing Cleaning/Hygiene team
  • Ensuring that rigorous standards relating to hygiene are achieved
  • Leading by example and ensuring all activities are carried out as per company policy
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned thoroughly
  • Control all cleaning chemicals & equipment
  • Conduct various inspection and quality checks
  • Monitor and control department staff
  • Review hygiene manuals
  • Maintain records / reports and files

 

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate that they have excellent communication skills coupled with a proven ability in managing teams, an understanding of food hygiene and technical cleaning knowledge & experience with cleaning chemicals, detergents and equipment.

 

It is essential that you have significant experience of operating in a similar role preferably within a food production environment.

Candidates who have experience in bacteriology monitoring and experience in stripping & rebuilding machinery along with the above mentioned criteria would be if significant interest.

 

This is a fulltime and permanent post.

Salary will be attractive and negotiable, primarily based on the experience of the candidate.

Precast Joiner – min 1 month temp contract

Job Description

Precast joiner required to fabricate and set up timber and steel moulds / cast structural precast concrete products.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
·Measure and fabricate timber moulds for the manufacture of precast concrete products as per AutoCAD generated drawings.
·Operate portable electric saws to cut / rip timber as required.
·Set up / prepare moulds in readiness for pouring of concrete.
·Place and secure steel reinforcement and specified fixings / fittings.
·Pour concrete into moulds, level and compact using poker vibrator.
·Float concrete to achieve specified finish.
·Strike and de-mould product when concrete has hardened.
·Transfer product to concrete finishing area.
·Clean and prepare moulds for further casts of concrete.
·Adhere to Company Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times, wearing specified PPE and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
·Any other duties assigned by supervisors/managers commensurate with the job.

Other duties may be added to your workload which are deemed necessary for the smooth running of the day to day operations and which are considered to be within your work capabilities.

Person Specification
Essential:
·Served joinery apprenticeship.
·Proficient in measuring and cutting of timber.
·Proficient in the use of cross-cut, circular, rip saws, etc.
·Able to read AutoCAD generated drawings.
·Medically fit to undertake the physical demands of the job.

Desirable:
·Previous experience of working in a similar environment / industry.
·Woodworking machinery training certificate.
·Gantry crane operators licence.

And as a result of this, they require an experienced Design Engineer to create and evaluate design proposals; oversee direction, development and design of the company products through the use of CAD and Solid Works.

Core Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline (experienced HND/HNC candidates will be considered)
  • Experience of full life cycle mechanical product design
  • Strong grasp of materials selection for a wide range of mechanical products
  • Production of high quality manufacturing drawings containing full tolerance and geometrical tolerancing and detailed finishing specifications
  • Understanding of motion control mechanisms and design concepts
  • Experience with 3D and 2D modeling software
  • Experience in the design, manufacturing and sourcing of materials to ensure quality standards are obtained
  • Solidworks CAD experience
  • Prototype assembly, evaluation, characterisation and testing
  • Design of very high precision complex mechanical assemblies
  • Familiarity of motorised motion control stages and actuators
  • Knowledge of wide variety of component manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Familiarity with lean engineering design principals
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing systems

Job Objective/Purpose:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret daily production sheets and react to any changes required
  • Ensure day-to-day running of production department, ensuring targets are met in terms of quality and all relevant procedures are followed as detailed in the Work Instructions
  • Ensure standards of hygiene and health & safety are maintained in your department.
  • Ensure tasks are being performed efficiently, quickly and with due diligence, care and attention. 
  • Deal with basic problems as they arise and keep the Production Manager up to date of any issues.
  • Liaise with various personnel / senior people to ensure efficient running of department
  • Ensure Controllers and Charge-hands are fully trained and carrying out their duties.
  • Take instructions from the production manager and ensure it filters through to employees and is followed as required
  • Ensure all necessary documentation i.e. temperature, weight, metal detection is completed accurately and on time 
  • Any other reasonable duties as required
