Financial Controller – Permanent Position – Highly Competitive Remuneration
Role Overview:
Responsible for all financial & accounting matters in a multi-product environment as a member of the company’s Senior Management Team. This role will involve contributing wholly to the cross functional strategic planning to achieve all company goals and objectives. A fundamental element of this role will be producing daily, weekly, monthly and annual accounts, incorporating weekly, monthly and annual K.P.I.s
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of cost accounting and financial strategic planning in a multi-product environment, establishing forecasts based on new product introductions and variance reporting.
- Development of budgets for each business unit
- Development of policies & procedures as required
- Compilation & management of timely and accurate reports to include:
- Weekly gross margin reports
- Weekly K.P.I.s representing all business units
- Monthly management accounts & other MIS reporting (Including sales reports, product reports, margin reports)
- Customer profitability
- Smooth running of all aspects of administration
- Ensure tax, audit and company statutory compliance issues are in order (Including PAYE, PRSI, VAT Returns and annual filing)
- Staff management linked to administration and overall H.R. Control
- Salaries, monthly/weekly, controls and reconciliations
- Cash management, credit control and cost control
- Minimise ForEx Exposure and foreign payments in multiple currencies
- I.T. support and development
- Objective setting and performance management of financial staff, and senior operations staff
- Manage debtors days and creditors days to optimise available cash and cash flow
Key Requirements: (Experience, Skills, Qualifications)
- Accountancy Qualification – ACA, CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent)
- Extensive cost accounting experience in a food (multi-product environment)
- Demonstrable experience in the coordination of all aspects of Financial Accounting I.E. month end reporting, financial statutory accounts preparation, adhering to strict internal corporate controls, working with internal/external auditors E.G. US GAAP, IFRS, SOX. (Experience in these areas would be highly advantageous)
- Relevant Industrial accounting experience at senior level (preferably within a large food processing company)
- Strong degree of professionalism/business acumen, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong costing, cost analysis skills
- Highly developed leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills with demonstrable ability in planning and setting goals and objectives
- Proven continuous improvement and change management experience with the ability to highlight and maintain best practice initiatives

Operations Manager – Permanent Position – Highly Competitive Remuneration
Role Overview:
This is a Senior Management position and the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Operations within a multi-product environment. The primary aim of this role will be to contribute to cross-functional strategic planning to achieve company objectives. A key area of focus will be to ensure that costs, quality control, yield, & Human Resources are utilised to optimum levels to ensure the continuous improvement of profitability, customer satisfaction and overall company performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement change through the site in line with the corporate strategic plan
- Full management of the processing cycle, from inception to completion
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team to provide clear senior leadership and report on operational performance at senior management meetings
- Ensure the delivery of agreed K.P.I.s for all production, quality and customer satisfaction activities and take appropriate action when necessary with emphasis on service and profit
- Co-ordinate and plan the processing schedule in the short, medium and long term, taking into account, customer requirements, in addition to seasonal variation and promotional plans
- Objective setting and performance management of middle management
- Strategic planning ensuring the most efficient use of company resources. (this is to include staff training, waste reduction & energy management)
- Identify areas of process failure to propose improvements and take necessary corrective action
- Ensure compliance with all internal, customer, legislative environmental, health & safety, food safety and quality requirements.
Key Requirements: (Experience, Skills, Qualifications)
- Degree in related subject/field or comparable work experience
- Industrial management experience, preferably within a large food processing environment
- Experience of running a BRC and/or Bord Bia approved facility
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, budgeting, inventory control and project management.
- Excellent knowledge of and understanding of slaughtering, boning, dispatch processes, quality standards and maintenance practices.
- Strong business acumen and professionalism, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Demonstrable ability in verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills with strength in planning, objective setting and time management
- Proven ability in continuous improvement and change management.

Job Description

The person appointed will be responsible for the overall management of day to day operations, incorporating business planning and quality management in conjunction with the Managing Director.
The Person
* Previous strategic level management within a production environment
* Working knowledge of budgets, expenses and production costs
* Experience leading and motivating teams of employees
* Third level qualification in business, finance or management related discipline is preferred
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work flexible hours
The Role
* In conjunction with the management team, develop detailed operational plans for the company, identifying short term activity, performance targets, KPIs and budgets.
* Lead, manage, motivate and monitor the performance of the management team and direct and participate in related activity such as recruitment, training, performance management and dispute resolution as required.
* In conjunction with the Production/Quality Manager, optimise the day to day planning and throughput of the production facility.
* Ensure that quality standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the company.
* Participate in the hosting of customer and quality audits in conjunction with the Production/Quality Manager.
* Effectively oversee achievement of the company’s sales and marketing plan and ensure that the Managing Director is kept fully informed through reports and discussion on achievement of or variance in targets/budgets.
