Group Account Manager – North Leinster
Location: Southern Ireland | Salary: €35K Basic + Bonus OTE €41K+
Job Description
Our client offers a wide range of Grocery, Catering, Alcohol and Fruit & Vegetables at competitive prices through their modern fleet of trucks providing a national distribution service. As an award winning Retail group, they are Irish Owned with an annual turnover fast approaching the €200 million mark and are proudly recognized as one of the largest independent suppliers to the retail sector. With a reputation founded on customer satisfaction and service excellence, they remain at the forefront of the Retail Sector in the Irish market.
Due to continual growth they wish to receive applications from interested candidates for the role of Group Account Manager. This position will assist and contribute towards the development and maintenance of the sales division. This position will be responsible for a region encompassing North Leinster. (Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan, Monaghan and Westmeath)The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager (North), Commercial Director and any other member of the management team where appropriate.
Key tasks include:
- Recruit new members into the company brands.
- Coordinate the activities of the development team.
- Increase participation within the stores.
- Monitor the growth within the stores and review it when necessary.
- Advise and support the retailer in all aspects of the business.
- Maintain standards within the stores and audit regularly.
- Review HACCP & advise retailer when required.
- Advise on all aspects of Central Billing.
- Train staff in merchandising, maintaining layouts and the importance of stock rotation.
- Inform retailers of promotions, new products, special offers etc.
- Communicate any news from within the company i.e. new signings, new appointments etc.
The successful candidate will have:
- Two years Store or Assistant Store management experience with a grocery retailer.
- At a minimum of two years relevant experience in sales role in the Grocery/ Symbol Sector.
- A full clean driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills- both written and oral.
- Be highly motivated; possess excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Be Systems Oriented.
- Team player. Ability to work on own initiative. Ability to work on tight deadlines.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.

Job Description
Network Personnel currently require a full time ‘Steps to Work’ support worker who will be based in Cookstown who will be responsible for the day to day running of the ‘Steps to Work’ programme.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Ensure standards and procedures are maintained in line with Jobcentre and DEL guidelines.
- To liaise effectively with the Department of Employment and Learning and other outside bodies as required.
- To carry out one to one interviews with STW clients, conduct initial assessment and formulate appropriate Learning and Development plans.
- Source suitable work placements.
- Arrange/deliver training as identified in the initial assessment.
- Monitor participant’s attendance and performance as required by guidelines.
- Oversee all general administration procedures.
- To maintain customer satisfaction at the optimum level by ensuring that training is delivered to the highest standard and that work placements are appropriate and conducive to the learning process.
- To meet regularly with placement provider in order to ensure that individual trainees are progressing satisfactorily.
- To control the use of financial resources and review performance in terms of financial targets set by the management committee.
- To demonstrate good personnel management practice.
- To avail of any training required to meet the needs of the Company.
- To liaise with other staff and management and to provide a high standard of service.
- To attend monthly staff meetings.
- To produce reports on the STW programme as required including the annual self-evaluation report and monthly board reports.
Essential Criteria:
The successful applicant must have:
- Good standard of general education including G.C.S.E. English & Maths grade C or higher
- Strong empathy with target population
- Minimum of one years relevant employment experience
- Experience of record keeping / administration
- Full, clean driving licence and access to a car
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience of delivering programmes aimed at the unemployed.
- Experience of Microsoft office packages.
- 9295/ 9297 level 2 Certificate in Adult Learner Support Literacy and Numeracy or a higher essential skills related qualification.
- NVQ assessors award D32/D33 or ‘A’ assessor award
