The hotel has also built a sound reputation for catering for large and small functions, weddings and events.

The purpose of this job is to improve profitability levels within the hotel through the effective application of systems, distribution, processes and design and implementation of strategic selling strategies & action plans.
Key focus on Rooms and Conference and Event revenues with the aim to over deliver planned revenue targets and gain competitive advantage.

Job Accountabilities will include:
Managing Sales
Strategic Planning
Business Reporting & Analysis
Managing Customer Service
Managing the Team

Person Specification

Successfully shortlisted applicants essentially should have an extensive amount of direct experience of revenue / sales management within rooms, conferencing or similar revenue streams.
You should be a fluent English speaker who has effective communication, influencing, presenting and coaching skills and should be highly capable on Microsoft office particularly excel.

It would be advantageous if you had Opera PMS Experience and Sales and Catering System Management particularly in Conference and Events.

Heritage Supervisor

Job Description

We are delighted to be working alongside on of our long standing clients by souring for an Heritage Supervisor. This position is based in the Mid Ulster Area and will appeal to candidates who thrive on a challenge and working in a role with lots of variety and creativity.

Duties to Include But Not Limited To:

Supervising and providing ‘on the job’ training for teams of workers who have a range of backgrounds and varying levels of skills and abilities.
Managing a diverse range of environmental projects to include landscaping, building stiles and laying paths; restoring historical features; tree and hedge planting; gardening
Having full accountability for planning and delivering projects in compliance with the management guidelines.
Transporting workers and materials by van.
Maintaining mileage records and logs for the van and carrying out regular checks and report malfunctions.
Identifying individual project needs and organising all material/machinery/resources according to project plans and specifications.
Motivating and guiding small team units to ensure projects are completed on time, to a high quality and in the most cost effective manner.
Ensuring that teams conform to all regulatory and health & safety requirements in line with company policy.
Ensuring that all associated administration is carried out to the required standard and timescale.

Essential criteria

Be aged over 25 years for insurance purposes
Have a full clean driving licence
Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience as a supervisor/foreman managing a team of at least 5 people in the construction industry
Ability to motivate and upskill a group of workers.
Have skills and experience of building with stone.
Have excellent practical skills and ‘hands on’ experience in bricklaying, landscaping or site joinery.
Have a demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of hand and power tools. (e.g. chainsaws, strimmers, hedge cutters, lawnmowers).
Excellent leadership and communication skills along with a strong team orientation.
Be physically fit, with stamina and the agility to cope with lifting and carrying.
Excellent planning skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and delegate workloads appropriately
Excellent knowledge of health and safety issues in a site environment

Desirable criteria

Have ‘hands on‘ skills and expertise in a wide range of handyman skills including joinery, bricklaying, ground work and painting.
Be a highly experienced and skilled stonemason
Previous experience in a training environment
A current CSR Gold card
A current First Aid certificate
